AccountingFunction Point is designed to link directly to your revenue accounts in your accounting system. If you use Quickbooks we have a middleware component called FP Accountant which maps everything directly at the service level. Other accounting systems require a manual import. You will need to ensure that the appropriate accounting system is selected in the admin section of Function Point under "office preferences" for the system to output the correct file format.

Set-up Regardless of what accounting software your company uses please ensure the following components are set up: - Setup Chart of Accounts.
- From the Account Type drop down, select the type of account type you want to check or enter.
- Add the appropriate information and hit submit.
- The new account you created will now be on the right of the screen.
- It is very important that you match the accounts in your accounting software with those being entered into FP to ensure any integration goes off without a hitch.
- Once all of your accounts are in the system you will need to link them to your services and expenses.
- This is done through the assign accounts section in admin.
- Remember to assign your accounts to all of your rate catagories by selecting "all" in the drop-down at the top.
