Dashboard
The main DASHBOARD is the homepage of the Function Point system. - This is the page that you see when you log in and includes important day-to-day items such as personal tasks & to do items, personal messages and calendar with public and private events, as well as the job list and timesheet panel.
- As with every page in the system, access to the find pages for each module (under the header) and a quick search is available depending on your user privileges.

Timesheets
Entries can be made from the main dashboard on the timesheet panel, via the job panel, or from a task. - The drop-down will show the date of the timesheet(s).
- Duration is where you add the hours to the timesheet.
- Start/Stop is an option that can be used instead (this is set-up by your system administrator.)
- Weekly View is only available with the Duration option.
- Job # is where the job information goes.
- Service relates to the service that the time is tracked to.
- Timesheet Window will bring up a new window for tracking time.
- When Start/Stop is activated, this window will give you the option of clicking on a timeclock to track time on a job.
- The bottom of the window will show time that has been entered for the day selected.
After a timesheet is created, a list of all the entries will show on the lower portion of the timesheet panel for the current day. - Timesheets for previous days can be viewed by selecting the day on the date drop down menu or by selecting the Weekly View if you timesheets are set to duration (please see timesheet information in Admin.)
- If the user has the privilege, timesheet entries can be edited by selecting the specific entry.
- Changes to all aspects of the timesheet can be made if it hasn't been posted by the System Administrator or Account Manager.
- If a user has the privilege to delete a timesheet, a delete icon will appear when in "EDIT MODE".

Jobs
The JOB pane on the DASHBOARD will show all active jobs in the system. - You can choose to show ALL jobs or MY jobs.
- MY jobs are jobs that you are either listed as a contact for or have selected by checking on the white box in the right column while looking at ALL jobs.
- If you are listed as a contact for the job, the checkbox will be pre-selected and greyed out so it can’t be changed.
- You can use the drop-down box to search by Client, Name, Number or Project.
- Click on the button in the left column to create a timesheet for the job.
- Click on the Job # to go to the Job Financial page, the Client Code to go to the company page, the Project Code to go to the project page and the Job Name to go to the job detail page.
- Also in this view, a person can organize either the MY or ALL lists by:
- Client Code
- Job Name
- Project Code
- Job Number
- Selection of the orange arrow beside the drop down lists provides the option of listing in an ascending or descending order.

Message Board
Allows the user to see a list of messages / calendar items. - The view state is kept between sessions (messages / calendar).
- The messages are sorted by date
- The calendar shows today's activities, as well as tomorrow (separated)
- The list of messages is taken from the staff message table, and is filtered to only messages that where not viewed yet
Selecting the word MESSAGES presents the MESSAGE BOARD and all the messages a user currently has along with the Sent Date. - Selection of any of the messages will bring the user to a Notes Details page.
- This will list the details of the message and related jobs if any.
- You will also have the privilege to: Email Messages, Create Tasks from them, etc. (See the Notes Detail page for more information)
- Selecting the checkbox will remove the item from the Message Board. It can be reviewed at a later time by going to your organization's company details, selecting the Contact who sent it and selecting Notes.
- You are also able to see who has read the message and who hasn't using the green arrow icon as well as the individuals it was sent to. A red dot equals an unread message and a green dot equals a read message.
- Adding a Message is done from the Main Dashboard by selecting the word ADD.
- This will bring you to an "Add Message/Recipients" screen.
- A person can check who they want to send a message to under the Recipients portion.
- Under the Add Message portion, a message title is entered, relation to a docket if appropriate, a priority level if necessary, upload a document and enter the body of the message.
- Selecting Submit sends the message to the Recipients checked.
- A Recipient will receive a popup window indicating that they have a message where it can be viewed by selecting on the popup or by navigating to the message board.
- Note: messages will only popup when the person is logged on to Function Point.
- A quick glance view of the calendar is retrieved by selecting the word CALENDAR on the Message Board where Today's and Tomorrow's events are shown.
- The event is listed with the time in parentheses.
- If the letters ADE appear, it stands for "All Day Event.

Tasks / To Do's
The TASK/TO DO List allows you to have a quick glance view of the status of all your tasks. - An orange item is an Assigned but not Acknowledged task.
- A black item is an In Progress and Acknowledged task.
- A grey item is a "Pass Task"
- A red ! indicates that the task is overdue.
- A green dot shows the task's status as In Progress.
- A red dot shows the task's status as completed.
- The icons on the far right allow for Acknowledgement or Completion of a task without navigation to the Task Detail page.
